Busan, South Korea -- International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific is the largest HIV/AIDS forum in Asia and the Pacific Region and the second largest in the world. The 10th ICAAP -- provided the opportunities for greater regional collaboration, sharing of ideas among people infected and affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemics from across the region and provides regional and national organisations, governments and individual stakeholders with space to enhance their mutual contributions in the response to HIV/AIDS - was held in Busan, South Korea on August 26 - 30, 2011 carrying the theme "Diverse Voices, United Action." It was attended by about 2,500 people sixty-four countries.

CWS Timor Leste (TL) together with the Ministry of Health, National AIDS Commision (NAC), and I/NGOs in Timor Leste in commemorating the World AIDS Day 2007.
The event was commemorated through a series of activities focused on HIV and AIDS: trivial quiz and drawing competition for junior high school and high school; information session for youth; a workshop and discussion attended by PLWH support group (Esperansa Group), NGOs, minister of health and nuns to facilitate a communication between PLWH and stakeholders; drum band parade; church mass; and television interactive talk discussion.

On 24 of May 2007 CWS Timor Leste (CWS TL) celebrated Candlelight Memorial (CLM) in CWS TL office in Dili. About 100 people participated in CLM activity including representatives from Ministry of Health, UNMIT UNICEF, Caritas Dili, Timor Aids; CWS's Focal point and local partners, youth groups, leaders of religious, resource center visitor; members of peace building project and some of East Timor PLWH.
